Make sure to check out these requirements before booking your flights to Peru, as your travel and your movement may be limited.

The provinces of Chanchamayo, Chincha, and Sullana have been issued with a High Alert level. What this means is that:

  • A curfew is in place from 11pm until 4am the next day, every day of the week
  • Commercial establishments must close at least one hour before the start of curfew, meaning no later than 10pm
  • A 40% capacity limit applies to gyms, cinemas, and performing arts centre, as well as shopping centres, galleries, department stores, places of worship, and general stores
  • A 50% capacity limit applies to business events, sports clubs, museums, libraries, and archaeological monuments
  • A 60% capacity limit applies to pharmacies, supermarkets, warehouses, markets, banks, and other financial entities
  • There are no restrictions in open spaces, including outdoor restaurants and beer gardens, professional outdoor events, botanical gardens, zoos, and outdoor sports activities; however
  • Massive events, traditional festivals, and carnivals are not allowed

Outside of these areas, a Moderate Alert level has been applied to the rest of Peru, with the main difference being that the curfew is from 2am until 4am, and additional 10% capacity limits provided on top of those listed above according to the stipulated categories.

What must be reminded is that the use of masks in public is mandatory, with the Government of Peru strongly encouraging the use of a double mask for extra safety.

Until November 14, entrants of non-resident foreigners or those locals who have stopped over in South Africa, is suspended. For everyone else, you must be double-vaccinated to enter Peru if you are over the age of 12. Furthermore, proof must be provided upon entry.

Thank you for your understanding, and we look forward to welcoming you back soon.

Kind wishes,
