Catamaran Cruiser (Sun Island, Inti Wata, Titicaca Lake) to La Paz

We begin our Lake Titicaca day tour early in the morning with an overland transfer from Puno to Copacabana, where we’ll have a brief tour of the Sanctuary of Copacabana. Then we’ll go to the shores of Lake Titicaca and board a catamaran cruise ship to sail towards Isla del Sol (Sun Island), the mythical birthplace of the Inca civilization. 

When we arrive on Isla del Sol, you can explore the Inca Garden, and the Inca Steps and Fountain, followed by the Inti Wata Cultural Complex. The complex includes the Ekako Underground Museum, which contains numerous archaeological pieces found on the island. It is also home to some ancient mummies and a clay Ekako, the God of Abundance, as well as areas dedicated to traditional medicine, the Titicaca reed shipbuilders, the agricultural Inca terraces and more. You’ll also be able to see some Andean camelids. Our time at the Inti Wata Cultural Complex also includes a unique sailing experience on a large traditional reed vessel, which will take us on a panoramic tour of the Pilkokaina Inca Palace.  

Afterwards, we’ll board the catamaran cruise ship again to sail back to Copacabana while enjoying a buffet lunch. From Copacabana, we’ll take you on the scenic overland trip to the city of La Paz, where we’ll drop you off at your hotel.
