How Long have you worked for Valencia Travel?

I have worked in the Tourism Industry in Peru for 12 years, now and I had to opportunity to work in Valencia Travel since 3 months ago, after a period of time without employment due to the pandemic. These were 2 very difficult years when everyone was affected by the pandemic, especially the tourism industry, and when we simply had to adapt to our circumstances.

What do you love about working in the Travel industry?

I love organizing people's dream vacations, for those who wish to visit Peru and make sure that every detail of their vacation is taken care of so that when they return home, they can send us a report thanking us for the quality of service they received.  This is what makes our job so special.

What is your Favourite place to visit in Peru?

In Peru, we are blessed to have unique and unforgettable destinations to visit, each one with their own amazing characteristics. For example, my last vacations were in Paracas, and the enormous sand dunes of Huacachina. One of my favorite trips in Peru was to the Gocta waterfall and Chachapoyas. This trip involved some beautiful hiking and riding the cable car over the site of Kuelap was amazing. This is a relatively new site open to the public in Peru and I hope to return there again very soon.

La Chorrera, is the local name for Gocta Waterfall in the Amazonas department of Peru near Chachapoyas. Flowing into the Cocahuayco River, the Gocta Waterfall can be seen from nearby villages and has been there for centuries. Visit on Gocta tours from Chachapoyas.

Where would you like to travel given the opportunity?

I would love to visit Egypt and Thailand and I hope that one day I will have the opportunity to travel there.

What is your Favourite Peruvian Dish / Drink?

There are so many delicious dishes in Peru it is really hard to choose just one! But if I have to choose one, if I see Lomo Saltado on the menu, I have to choose it.  To drink, I really enjoy a Passion fruit Chilcano.

The relatively unknown fortress of Kuelap is in the high Andes Mountains of northern Peru, far away from the beaten path and widely under the radar. This fortress is in the running to become one of Peru’s top archaeological sites. Kuelap could certainly become as popular as Machu Picchu. Get off the beaten path on Kuelap Peru tours and visit one of Peru’s most fascinating destinations before everyone catches on!

What is your most memorable moment working for Valencia Travel?

When our passengers visit us in the office and we can meet them face to face and when they say how much they have enjoyed their trip to Peru with us.

Peru is an incredible country to visit. It has world-famous destinations such as Machu Picchu, The Nazca lines, or Lake Titicaca yet some virtually unknown yet fascinatingly stunning sights such as Gocta Waterfall or The Cotahuasi Canyon. All you need is a healthy spirit for adventure and a perfectly planned Peru vacation package, that's where we come in at Valencia Travel!

Where do you see yourself in one years’ time?

I see myself organizing more travel experiences for our passengers and learning about the new tourist activities that come along, so that we can offer unique experiences to our clients in the future.

What is the best travel tip you can give to visitors to Peru?

That in The Andes, you can reconnect with yourself again. Forget your cell phones and enjoy the natural environment, marvel at the mountains, and hike the impressive Inca Trail, etc. Which is the best way to forget about the stress and routine that I am certain you have back home. Also, that hat one unmissable place to visit has to be Puerto Maldonado and the Manu Reserve in our jungle region of Peru.
