The Eco Amazonia Lodge is a wonderful lodge located close to Puerto Maldonado and right on the doorstep of the amazing Tambopata National Reserve. The reserve is one of the most biodiverse places on Earth, with 169 mammal species, 632 bird species, more than 1,000 butterfly species and many species of amphibians, fish and reptiles found here. And with its numerous creeks, swamps and ox-bow lakes, it’s a true jungle paradise.
When you stay at the lodge, which is located on the banks of the Madre de Dios River, you’ll be within a stone’s throw of the reserve. And when you’re not exploring Tambopata, you can relax in your beautiful wooden bungalow, with its private bathroom, mosquito nets and other facilities (pool, restaurant, bar and more) that will make your stay in the jungle both comfortable and exhilarating.
When you arrive in Puerto Maldonado, we’ll pick you up from the airport. We’ll start our first excursion right away, as we tour this fascinating jungle city on a bus. Then we’ll head to Puerto Capitanía, where we’ll board a motorized riverboat to navigate on the Madre de Dios River. It will take about two hours to reach the Eco Amazonia Lodge, which is located on the edge of the 10,000-hectare Tambopata Reserve. During our riverboat trip, we’ll kee...

After a restful night’s sleep, the mighty roars of the howler monkeys will let us know that it’s time to leave their jungle and head back to the city. We’ll have a final breakfast, and then we’ll set off in the boat back to Puerto Maldonado. When we arrive, we’ll take you to the airport for your onward flight, or to your hotel in the city should you decide to stay in Puerto Maldonado for longer. We hope you had a wonderful experience with us in the Amazon Rainforest.
