On this fantastic guided tour in Lima you will explore the beautiful and fascinating City of Kings. You will visit iconic places that are rich in history. There will be plenty picturesque churches and exquisite colonial architecture.  Begin your journey by travelling thousands of years into the past. Your first stop will be the ancient ceremonial center called “Huaca Pucllana”, which was built centuries before the arrival of the Spanish. Next you drive into the center of the city so you can stroll around the main square, the Plaza de Armas of Lima. Here you will find imposing architecture which was built long ago. Also, on the main square is the grandiose Lima Cathedral. After that you can tour the Santo Domingo convent and its extensive monastery.

After breakfast, a representative of Valencia Travel Cusco will pick you up from the hotel (time to be confirmed) and take you to the airport where you will take your flight to Cusco. Once you arrive in Cusco, a member of Valencia travel's team will be waiting at the airport to pick you up in our private transport and take you to your hotel.

In the afternoon, you’ll have a full Cusco city tour, During the Cusco City Tour you will discover the beauty and the magic of Cusco, the Imperial Capital of the Incas. Your tour starts at the Koricancha and the Santo Domingo church. According to the Chroniclers who wrote during the period directly after the Spanish Conquest, the Koricancha was the most sacred and the most important site in the Quechua world. The walls of the Koricancha were covered with gold. There were life-size statues of plants and animals made out of pure gold and silver. Next will be the Cusco Cathedral where you can appreciate the works of the Cusco School of painters, and also the gold and silver relief work on the main altar and the pulpit. The next stop on your tour will be the imposing Fortress of Sacsayhuaman. Here you will note the stones that form the walls are the size of a truck. They have been carefully cut and perfectly fitted together. Sacsayhuaman is a very impressive Incan construction. From here you will head up the hill to the Tambomachay Archeological Complex. This was an important ceremonial center during Inca times. It is sometimes called the Bath of the Incas, and the cult of water used to perform their rites here. Finally, you will return to Cusco.

Head to the Tunupa restaurant, located just the central Plaza de Armas of Cusco (3 minutes walking from the Hotel), and get ready for a fabulous buffet dinner. There is a large selection of typical dishes, meat, fish, vegetables, and desserts they are amazing and delicious dishes. The night is more enjoyable when the traditional dance show begins and you can get involved with folk, traditional, and classical music, and sweeten your ears with the Andean instruments: Quena, charango, flute, zampoña. If you wish, you can also share the dance floor with the dancers and get a great experience.

After breakfast, enjoy a free day to explore Cusco at your ease. The capital city of the Inca Empire is now the undisputed archaeological capital of the Americas, as well as the continent’s oldest continuously inhabited city.

Optional Tour:

The Sacred Valley – Cost per person $35.

This is a full day excursion to the Urubamba Valley visiting the colourful Indian market in Pisac, where you will be able to appreciate the mixture of colour and tradition. Here you will have the opportunity to test your bartering skills, interact with the local craftsmen and purchase hand-made souvenirs. After Pisac travel to Urubamba, and continue on to Ollantaytambo, the oldest continuously occupied town on the American continent. The narrow streets of Ollantaytambo, along with their canals, have not changed much from the time of the Inca Empire. The last visit will be the Chinchero market. Chinchero is believed to be the mythical birthplace of the rainbow. Its major claim to tourism is its colourful Sunday market, which is much less tourist-orientated than the market at Pisac. At the end of the tour, return to the Plaza de Armas in Cusco.

Rainbow Mountain - Cost per person $ 90.

We will Pick you up from your hotel around 05h30 – 06h00. We´ll head to the community of CUSIPATA, we’ll get there in about 2 hours. Then we continue some 30 minutes more, to the Town of CHILLIHUANIl, where we will pass through picturesque places like TINTINKO and RIO TIGRE and the Mountain of Surina in LLACTO, where you will also could enjoy the flora and fauna in its natural habitat. (Llamas, Alpacas, Vicunas, etc.). 20 minutes later we will reach the starting point of our walk to the Rainbow Mountain. This walk will last about 1 hour and a half, We’ll enjoy panoramic views such as the Red Valley and Nevado Ausangate and small lagoons just before arrive to the spot where we can watch the whole colourful mountain. Our guide will explain you the science behind the colors and we`ll have some hot tea and something to eat. Then we will begin to descend to our starting point. Our vehicle will be waiting for us there to return to your hotel in Cusco, arriving around 18h00.

Maras Moray – Cos per person $ 30

We will pick you up from your hotel around 08h00 to take you to Moray “The Inca agricultural greenhouse or laboratory.” We will drive for about 1 hour and 20 minutes through the snow-capped peaks of the Andes, through lush yellow fields of wheat, and past some villages.  Finally, you will arrive at the fascinating display of terraces in Moray. Moray boasts three amphitheater-like terraces made by the Incas. These terraces, which are carved deep into the earth in a bowl shape, were thought to be used to determine the optimal conditions for growing crops. When we finish exploring Moray, we will continue and visit the salt mines of Maras, which is about 2 miles away.  This village is known as a former salt-producing center that is thought to date back to pre-Inca times. There are over 3000 salt pools all carved into the mountainside; the highly salty water emerges at a spring, a natural outlet of the underground stream. The flow is directed into an intricate system of tiny channels constructed so that the water runs gradually down onto the several hundred ancient terraced ponds. The water, which is exposed to the sun, leaves salt on the land. After this fantastic visit, we will drive back to Cusco.

This morning you will be picked up at 09h00 to head to the train station to board the train to Aguas Calientes, the gateway to Machu Picchu! The train leaves at approximately 11h30 (the time may change depending on availability and changes to the timetable). After a 2-hour journey of majestic views, arrive at Aguas Calientes to spend the night. Also known as Machu Picchu Pueblo, this town lies in a deep gorge below the ruins. A virtual island, it’s cut off from all roads and enclosed by stone cliffs, towering cloud forests, and two rushing rivers. Aguas Calientes is surrounded by thermal hot springs, on arrival there will be plenty of time to relax and enjoy a hot bath in the natural springs.

Wake up early for breakfast before our guide will pick you up from your hotel at 5:40 am to begin the short bus journey to the gates of Machu Picchu where you will watch the sunrise. After entering the Citadel begin a guided walking tour (approximately two hours) of the citadel complex. After this experience, enjoy some free time to explore the mysterious city as you, please.

Optional Service:  Wayna Picchu – Cost per person $ 30 

There is time for those with enough energy to climb Wayna (Huayna) Picchu (at your own expense). For many people climbing Huayna Picchu is one of the highlights when visiting Machu Picchu. Wayna Picchu is the mountain behind Machu Picchu. The climb itself is interesting as you will see how the Inca did cut out some steps out of the rocks and as you wind around the side of a mountain will see Machu Picchu from different angles.

Then, you will take the bus down to Aguas Calientes for lunch (not included) later we will board the train back to Poroy. Upon your arrival to the train station, we will pick you up and take you back to your hotel in Cusco.

After breakfast, you'll be picked up from your hotel at 06h30 and dropped off at the bus station to take a bus trip, more like a tour - a guide will be on board, and you'll stop at four exciting sites:

• Andahuaylillas: The Sistine Chapel of South America. This church is one of the most beautiful examples of Andean popular religious art. 
• Raqchi (Wiracocha God Temple): This was an Inca church of considerable dimensions; 328 feet long, 85 feet wide, and 45 feet high. The temple is divided into two naves, and each nave has 11 large columns.ivided into two naves, and each nave has 11 large columns.
• La Raya: This is the halfway point between Cusco and Puno and also the highest point (14,222 feet above sea level). The landscapes here are stunning and typical Andean animals like the llama, alpaca, and vicuña are familiar sights. It is also the geographic border between two cultures - Quechua and Aymara.
• Pukara: This is the most important and oldest ceremonial center of the altiplano. There are new lite sculptures and tombs.

Arrival time to Puno will be around 5 pm.

After breakfast, you will go out boat riding on Lake Titicaca. Pick-up time at your hotel will be around 07h00. You will go over to the port, board our motor launch, and ride south to the Island of Uros. At Uros the Peruvians who live here maintain their ancient customs and way of life by weaving together totora reeds which grow in the shallows of the Lake. These reeds are used to construct their floating islands and their houses. Afterward, we will sail toward "Taquile Island". At Taquile, you will enjoy a 2-and-a-half-hour tour of the island which has been ranked the fourth most beautiful island in the world. In the community, you will eat a wonderful Andean-style buffet lunch.

Here you will visit the isolated weavers of this ancient community. According to pre-Columbian legend, the Incas actually learned how to weave from the artisans of this island. They are very, very skilled weavers. Taquile has been declared to be part of the Cultural Heritage of the Humanity by UNESCO.

Later in the afternoon, you will then have free time to explore the Island on your own, and afterward, return to Puno.
